Amelia has trained with bridal specialists including Patrick Cameron, Wella, Kristina Gasperas and the London School of Makeup, to complete the industry standard IMA certificate. Her career spans over 18 years, working across the UK and internationally with hundreds of brides, and in TV, theatre and film. In 2020, Amelia changed her business name to include her experienced team, and MB Artistry was created. “For me it’s more than just a job, it’s a passion, it's being a part of someone's special day, and I love it!" says Amelia. So, in short, why wouldn't you book with MB Artistry?
After your initial consultation and filling in your booking form, we will discuss your timings and decide if you require any of my creative team for the day. All aspects of your timings will be discussed to ensure the smooth running of your preparations. We include running schedules for larger parties, so everyone knows what is required of them, and when, in preparation for the day.
Trials are held at my salon, Studio 142 in Bromsgrove. We book out a considerable time slot (approx. 3-4 hours) for both hair and makeup. This enables you to try different styles as you wish. Full face charts and consultation are provided. Trials are only included for the bride, however additional bridal party previews can be booked at an additional cost, per treatment per person. Where required I can travel to you for your preview. However, a call out fee of £80 plus travel costs will be added.
All packages are covered by full public liability insurance. Copies can be sent to your venue, along with risk assessments and PAT testing certificates, if required.
My team are not affiliated, nor do we specifically recommend any single brand. We specialise in cruelty free products, and where possible vegan brands. All products are tried, tested and loved by us for their quality and longevity. We are happy to provide your face chart after your wedding if you'd like to know more about the products used.
We will work this out with you at your preview, and you will receive a schedule prior to your day. However, as a rough guide, we suggest 2 hours for bridal hair and makeup, and 1 hour per person thereafter (both hair and makeup). Please leave your timings to us, as we are used to being super organised on your behalf.
Lashes are a complimentary extra from us, so no discount can be offered if you don't have them. We are happy to use your products if you have a favourite, but this won’t allow for any reduction in cost, as our time, skills and expertise are still being provided.
Our payment terms require you to pay the balance in full at your preview. From this point are unable to make changes to the booking, due to team and timings being secured for your date.
All payments must come from whoever confirms the booking. Our brides typically collect payment from their wedding party before the final payment is due, and then pay in full at the preview. We don’ t have the facility to take payments on the day.
We ask that you and anyone in your party having hair and makeup arrive with clean, makeup-free faces and freshly washed and dry hair. (Wet if they're having just a blow-dry). Be sure to avoid leave-in conditioners and hair masks. We are happy to advise on skincare and prep before the big day if you require it.
